About the role

We are looking for a Senior QA API Engineer with strong experience in Java, Playwright, and API testing to join an international technology team.

The selected professional will be responsible for ensuring the quality of web applications and backend integrations through comprehensive UI and API testing. The role requires the ability to test beyond the user interface, identify potential issues proactively, and collaborate closely with developers throughout the development lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong sense of ownership, curiosity, exceptional attention to detail, and a proactive approach to communication and problem-solving.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated tests using Playwright and Java.
• Perform comprehensive testing of web applications, APIs, and backend integrations.
• Design and execute API tests using tools such as Swagger and Postman.
• Validate API functionality, responses, integrations, performance, and data consistency.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Use LambdaTest to execute cross-browser and cross-platform testing.
• Test beyond the UI to identify issues across different system components and integrations.
• Review product requirements, technical specifications, and Figma designs to create effective test scenarios.
• Ensure pixel-perfect alignment between developed interfaces and approved Figma designs.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and communicate defects throughout the development lifecycle.
• Collaborate daily with developers to investigate issues and ensure timely resolution.
• Proactively raise questions, identify potential risks, and contribute to technical and product discussions.
• Explore the use of artificial intelligence to improve testing processes and quality practices.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Take ownership of testing activities and quality outcomes.

Requirements

• Senior-level professional experience in Quality Assurance and Test Automation.
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright and Java.
• Solid experience using LambdaTest for cross-browser and cross-platform testing.
• Strong API testing expertise using Swagger and Postman.
• Experience testing web applications, REST APIs, backend services, and system integrations.
• Ability to perform testing beyond the user interface.
• Experience with functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Ability to analyze requirements and translate them into comprehensive test scenarios.
• Exceptional attention to detail and experience validating interfaces against Figma designs.
• Strong sense of ownership, curiosity, and commitment to software quality.
• Proactive mindset and ability to raise questions when requirements or expected behaviors are unclear.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work closely with developers and participate actively in daily team interactions.
• Ability to work autonomously without operating in isolation.
• Knowledge of Agile software development and testing practices.
• English proficiency suitable for working with international teams.
