We are seeking experienced PIM Developers to design, build, and optimize integrations between a Product Information Management (PIM) platform, primarily Akeneo, and enterprise systems such as ERP, eCommerce, DAM, and CRM.

You will build integrations and middleware that move product data between systems, design event-driven flows for real-time and near-real-time synchronization, and translate catalog requirements into product data structures.

The ideal candidate combines strong backend engineering, API, and data pipeline skills with the willingness to master Akeneo. Prior Akeneo experience is valued but not required; platform training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build integrations between the PIM platform and enterprise systems using REST APIs, GraphQL, event subscriptions, webhooks, and middleware.
• Build middleware services that transform, clean, and synchronize large, complex product catalogs.
• Design event-driven flows on a message broker or event bus for real-time and near-real-time synchronization, incorporating retries, dead-letter queues, and replay capabilities.
• Collaborate with business analysts and product owners to translate catalog requirements into product data structures, including product families, attributes, variants, channels, and locales.
• Optimize bulk imports and exports, ETL pipelines, and digital asset linking.
• Follow and promote engineering standards for code quality, testing, performance, and scalability.

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on backend integration development experience in production, building and consuming REST APIs and working with JSON data.
• Experience integrating enterprise systems such as ERP, eCommerce, CRM, or DAM platforms, or comparable data-intensive business applications.
• Experience with OAuth 2.0 authentication and secure API consumption, including handling rate limits.
• Experience building middleware or microservices that transform, clean, and synchronize large data sets.
• Production experience with at least one message broker or event bus, such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, AWS EventBridge, or Azure Service Bus, including retries, dead-letter queues, replay, and idempotency.
• Proficiency in Python and/or .NET (C#). Java or PHP experience is also valued.
• Strong SQL skills using MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Experience designing and optimizing ETL pipelines and bulk data loads.
• Experience with Docker, Azure and/or AWS, automated CI/CD, testing, and code-quality practices.
• Experience with Spec-Driven Development (SDD): writing clear specifications before implementation and using them to guide design, AI-assisted code generation, and testing.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex data models into clear integration flows and explain technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
• Willingness to learn Akeneo and complete its technical learning path after joining.
• Advanced conversational English to collaborate with international teams and stakeholders.
• Must currently reside in Colombia.

Preferred qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Akeneo PIM (Enterprise, Growth, or Community Edition), including its data model, REST API, GraphQL, Event Platform, Custom Apps, or Asset Manager.
• Akeneo technical or integration certification.
• Experience with other PIM or product data platforms, such as Stibo STEP, Salsify, Informatica P360, Pimcore, or inRiver.
• Experience integrating ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics, or eCommerce platforms such as Adobe Commerce, Shopify Plus, or Salesforce Commerce Cloud.
• Experience with product data modeling, catalog management, or Master Data Management.
• Experience with Elasticsearch or OpenSearch.
